Intra Repiderma Spray 250ml
- Antibiotic-free wound care option
- Useful for hoof lameness issues
- Copper & zinc support wound healing
- Strong adhesion & quick drying action
This product is a world-first antibiotic-free spray that can be used for bovine interdigital dermatitis. Intracare's Hoof-fit products are gaining acceptance following their recent introduction here. New Zealand has been relatively free from the widespread northern-hemisphere epidemics of interdigital dermatitis, but the number of identified cases is growing rapidly.
Hoof-fit gel, liquid, and now aerosol spray, are at the forefront of providing control for this disease. Repiderma contains adhesive and protective substances which ensure longest possible effective contact time in what is obviously the worst possible environment.
Repiderma spray is equally useful for hoof conditions of horses, sheep, goats and pigs, and minor wounds including disbudding and calf navels. The spray is also effective in the prevention of minor dermatological abnormalities.
Mode of action
- Zinc and copper provide a two-way mechanism for an effective skin spray
- At low concentrations copper is required for living organisms including bacteria but at higher concentrations copper can be bacterial and bacteriostatic
- Total copper accelerates secondary healing and contraction of dermal wounds
- Zinc is known to have a positive effect on recovery of epithelium
How to use Repiderma
- Shake well before use
- Keep the bottle at 15-20 cm from the surface to be treated
- Direct the spray flow until the treatment area is covered with a bright green layer
- Each 250 ml can is suitable for approximately 90-100 small wound treatments
- A second treatment is recommended after three days (covering with our Farmhand hoof bandage sock will also assist)
